Based on Ennio Morricone's statements here, do you think that a composer is "cheating" by using software to compose music?
Personally, I'm more of a traditional composer, much like Mr. Morricone, but I think every composer functions differently, so why not use technology if it helps to speed up the process. As long as the composer doesn't use software to "cover up" his or her deficiencies, I can't find any issues with this.
